Private Lessons - One-on-one student-teacher sessions providing individualized instruction for the student.
Private lesson recommendations: Primary/Elementary = 30 minute sessions Middle School/Intermediate = 45 minute sessions High School/Advanced = 60 minute sessions Adults = 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions, depending on individual goals |
Bonus Group Lessons - Bonus group sessions are scheduled 1-2 times per semester and are for all students on every level. These sessions are designed to promote individual confidence and community within the studio through small group performances and off-bench music learning activities. Bonus group lessons may be in-person or virtual, depending on the need. Students who have missed a lesson may participate in a bonus group as a form of “makeup lesson.”

Online Lessons - Virtual sessions in real time, from the comfort of your home. Piano lessons online can be the perfect option for students who can't make the commute to my studio, or who may be slightly “under the weather.” Student's must obtain high speed internet, earbuds/headphones, a piano or a full-size keyboard, and a reliable input/output audio source before registering for the online lessons.

My Piano Teaching Style - I use a variety of teaching methods and cater lessons according to each individual. I use classical repertoire, but I also incorporate both traditional and contemporary styles of sacred music, and any other genres of student interest. In addition to using traditional teaching methods, I enjoy helping students learn to improvise and develop their "ear playing" by using lead sheets or chord charts. I believe that scales and chords are the foundation to learning any style, so I begin teaching them by rote at level one.

Studio Setup - My studio setup includes a K. Kawaii 6'1" grand piano, a vintage acoustic piano, two Roland digital pianos, two Yamaha digital pianos, and the necessary equipment for online lessons. In addition, I have a forty-plus year collection of music and resources in my library that students have access to.
